Friends Friday! – Adjoa Skinner

December 23, 2011 in Friends' Friday

Friends Friday! Today it is!

Today I’d like to introduce a dear friend named Adjoa Skinner.

She was the first singer songwriter I could proudly say I worked with. In fact, there is a video online somewhere of us playing together for the first time and I can actually admit that I was nervous that day.
She approached me right after a concert I had played with Double G’s 9net jazz ensemble and said “You’re going to play bass for me! We’re going to work together!”

That was back in November of 2007. We played together and recorded a few things up until 2010. Right now, she is currently raising funds for her new record! Check it!

This video features a song called ‘god made me tall’. This song is great! She is tall, and does tend to attract men of shorter stature. (I wish I could’ve played tuba on this recording.)

Here are a few videos of us playing together in 2008.

I look forward to moving back to LA and working with her more!

Happy Friday!
